Latex Natural Rubber - B Grade
Description Low modulus material with very high extension to break.
Used as a vacuum diaphragm where high elongation is required for deep draw moulds.
The 800% elongation factor enables it to conform to most severe curvatures without bridging.
Formulated for operation up to 100°C, however continuous exposure to 100°C will after time compromise the physical characteristics.
Material should only be used for cold cure operations and de-bulking exercises.
Bonding details are available for Aerovac’s technical sales office.
Application Low cost alternative to natural rubber, where maximum elongation is required. Latex does not offer the same temperature resistance physical strength of natural rubber
Maximum temperature use 100°C
Colour Natural
Tensile stength 23 Mpa
Elongation at break 800%
Durometer hardness 40 Shore A
Thickness range (nominal) 0.75 - 3.0 mm
Widths available up to 4.0 mtr
Storage & handling
Temperature Store below 260°C and away from heaters.
Humidity Avoid damp storage conditions.
Light Protect from prolonged exposure to light, in particular bright sunlight and strong u/v light, which will degrade sheeting.
Metals Avoid contact with copper and copper containing alloys, which may stain the sheeting.
Oils and solvents Avoid contact with oils, solvents and greases, which will destroy natural rubber.
